Vocal

This new course offers intensive study of solo repertoire within a friendly and informal atmosphere for a limited number of singers. It will be led by respected vocal teacher Veronica Veysey Campbell.

Students will be contacted ahead of the course in order to select up to 6 songs or arias to be studied. There will be one from each of the following: French song, Lieder, English song, Italian song, opera or oratorio and musical theatre to be prepared in advance of the course.

Pianist and vocal coach John Flinders will be available and in addition to masterclasses there will be the opportunity for students to receive individual private coaching and lessons. There may be also sessions on the German ‘Lied’ and musical theatre with guest teachers. More details to follow. It is intended that all the vocal participants will have the opportunity to work with instrumentalists to prepare chamber music.

Everyone will get the opportunity to perform in a public ‘showcase’ concert towards the end of the week.
