Clarinet Course:

Tutor: David Campbell

Led by David Campbell, one of Britain’s finest clarinettists and teachers, this course is aimed at serious amateur players, full-time conservatoire or university students and possibly younger students (please contact us for entry requirements for younger students).

The course will comprise masterclass sessions, with an accompanist whenever possible, small clarinet ensembles, large clarinet ensembles, technique sessions, typical orchestral excerpts for auditions, controlling nerves, presentation and the possibility for some participants to join forces with members of the wind octet course or string courses for chamber music.

Each member of the class should bring 3 different works (or movements from them) to study:

a concerto

a sonata

an occasional piece, solo de concours or set of variations

as well as a study from Uhl , Kell or Jettel

The best performances in class will be selected for a showcase concert
