Accommodation Fees 2012
Self catering accommodation (on university campus): £255 per person (please note: meals are not included)
Full Board accommodation (on university campus): £395 (includes breakfast, lunch and dinner served at the award winning café in Aberystwyth Arts Centre). This option is available for under 18 yrs.
Practical Psychology Course Accommodation: £225/£28 per night. (Accommodation for this course is separate but still within easy access to the University Campus)
Showcase concerts will be held on the 28th of July and there will be a party this evening so summer school participants are advised to stay until the morning of 29th July.
Participants will be housed in university accommodation on campus within walking distance from the Arts Centre and Penglais School. For those choosing self catering accommodation there is a supermarket close by. Students should bring with them: towels and soap, washing-up liquid and tea towels, cutlery and cooking utensils.
Please note that all rooms must be vacated by 10am on Sunday 29th July.
We can also offer self catering houses to families wishing to stay at Musicfest. The houses have rooms of between 5/8 bedrooms and are situated within walking distance of the summer school base. For more infotmation about this please contact Sophie Bennett 01970 622338 / musicfest@aber.ac.uk
under 16yrs applicants
Musicfest will accept applications from students 13yrs or over. Students between the age of 13 and 15 yrs must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Musicfest accepts no liability for the welfare of students 16yrs or under. Parents of 13-15yrs students will be asked to sign a disclaimer.
16-17yrs supervision
Students between 16-17yrs will be housed together with appropriate supervision (our pastoral support team is led by qualified and experienced house staff). Parents of under-18 students will be required to sign to confirm that they accept the rules and regulations of Musicfest Summer School.
